5 Elements and Circles
Chungliang Al Huang, born in China, grew up in Taiwan and was himself a master in Taiji and other martial arts. He later emigrated to the USA, where he studied choreography - among other subjects
- and later appeared as a dancer on big stages and in films. The 5 elements have a corresponding effect: dance-like and cheerful. Chungliang wanted to break out of the overly strict Taiji, which
was built according to traditional structures, and developed the forms of the 5 elements and circles, three of which we were able to learn from our masters Marianne Vögeli and Hans-Peter Sibler.
